Last week in my July Update I mentioned the upcoming business and marketing book that I will be releasing. Tonight I begin a series of excerpts which should more or less keep going until I actually release the book. The excerpts will be in rough fashion so the final content may not be what you read here on this blog, but what I do hope that it gives you is a good sense of what to expect from the book while leaving plenty out that I hope will leave you wanting more. Naturally, if you want more, you’ll need to keep coming back here for more excerpts, and if you really want more, you’ll have to get the book. 😉 What follows is an excerpt from the Introduction to the book. As all excerpts will be posted in chronological order as they should appear in the book (upon the current status, the chronology may or may not change during editing) then I believe it’s only fitting that we start with the Introduction.

Have you seen the Introductions to other books? Most of them are designed to tell cute little stories that barely introduces you to the information to come or gives you a brief summary of the chapters supposedly so that you can know what to expect yet usually repeating information you could get from the Table of Contents. Well, that ain’t what this Introduction is all about.

This Introduction is for the person that wants to get their product into the hands of customers. This introduction is a true introduction to prepare you, the reader, for the rest of the book ahead. Whether you are doing things independently, through a small company, or because the large company isn’t doing too well selling for you what you’ve allowed for them to, then this book is for you. Period.

You got this book because you need help in selling your product, and I’m not going to waste your time on cute stories or a summary you can get from the Table of Contents.

This Introduction WILL get you prepared for the rest of the book, and if you skip it you will only be hurting yourself, because in this Introduction, I get started with what you need to figure out right away if you even need to……
